Roger Brielle, French 1899-1960 - Untitled Red abstract,  Mixed media, , 73 x 60 cm, signed Born in Malicorne, France, Brielle began his career as a writer and art critic before turning to painting. He became involved with the Surrealist circle, and was included in the group’s 1947 exhibition at the Galerie Maeght, Paris.

Provenance; Roger Passeron collection.Passeron was a noted publisher on printing, creating catalogues raisonnés of the engraved work of Michel Ciry, Mario Avari and Antoni Clavé, as well as works on the lithographs of Picasso and Chagall.
